Installation of Vertical Rockface · May 11, 07:05 pm
We were all very happy with the installation of this painting. Our clients replaced their light fixture with halogen track lighting to bring focus to the painting as people enter their home.
The foyer now reflects the client’s contemporary style as original art is displayed throughout their newly designed and renovated home.
This piece was created for the foyer design to give a feeling of height to the ceilings, and move the observer up the stairs to their living space.
Seeing that their home is situated in Penetanguishene, near Georgian Bay, the scene reflects rock and a somewhat typical white pine, gnarled from the prevalent westerly winds.

Painting of the Month - April 2010 · Apr 29, 11:32 am
Nearly completed, this is the Painting of the Month for April. The photos below show a work in progress, a closeup of details, then the ‘nearly’ finished piece.
The Rockface is complete. The clients will be in to review the piece on Saturday to discuss the addition of a tree element. The original intent of the composition allowed for a pine to be placed on the third panel at the top of the rock .. small as if coming from the land beyond and behind the rockface. But I have a few other new ideas as well.

DOW - STEMBRIDGE WEDDING · Apr 20, 02:38 pm
Welcome to the Liz Dow and Mark Stembridge Wedding Gift Registry with Claustro (paintings and sculpted paintings by Carol Currie and Stuart Leggett).
Liz and Mark’s wedding date is confirmed for 10-10-10 (that’s October 10, 2010) and will be held on the beautiful beaches of Georgian Bay.
Liz and Mark, both being strong advocates of the arts, chose to have their Gift Registry with us. They have already collected a few of Carol’s paintings. As it gets closer to their wedding, they will choose one of Carol’s paintings that are available, or will have one specially created to commemorate their union.
