PAINTINGS OF THE MONTH - July 2010 · Jul 21, 11:27 pm

For the month of July, I am including two paintings as my monthly favourites …

The first piece is a triptych capturing the smoothened rock caused by the ice age over Silver Peak of Killarney Provincial Park. This scene was found off trail and shows the definitive attempt to survive on the side of such a tremendous drop to the valley beyond, where the winds can be fierce.

The second piece is a diptych again inspired by off trail hiking around the Crack of Killarney Provincial Park. These boulders, the size of small cars sit permanent and strong, marking again the power of the ice age as it scraped through the area.

Both pieces were sold within hours of completion.
